Can't get sound on channel 4 only. Any ideas? The sound is fine on all other channels and there is sound on channel 4 on my other TV sets. I've tried pushing the mute on the remote to see if it was muted...

You might try resetting the TV to the default (look in the Menus for a Options or Tools menu and a command like Restore Default or Memory Recall). Then exit the menu (and save the settings). Return to the menu and rescan all channels.

I do not know if this will help in your case but it is a simple thing to try. I have a tv (a different manufacturer) that had a similar problem. When my outdoor antenna was pointing directly at transmitter, the closest station gave me no audio on one sub-channel and no video on the other. All the other stations were fine. Doing the reset and subsequent rescan resynched the audio and video for the sub-channels.

I hope this helps.

Yamaha rx-v2500 receiver how to hook up speakers

HI,

Follow these steps to connect a powered sub woofer to your receiver: You typically have two options when connecting a powered sub woofer. Input (1) on the rear of the sub woofer would be used when connecting the sub woofer to the receiver using speaker wires. You would then connect the main speakers to the opposite end, or output or the sub woofer to the main speakers. Option (2) would be using RCA line level output jacks, input (2) on the rear panel of the sub woofer directly to the single sub woofer output on the back of an AV receiver. blank.gif

Hi, Ive tried to set up my samsung blue ray

It seems as though the HT works fine, so to get the TV itself to play through the HT setup, take the audio out from the TV and hook it up to a separate channel on the HT receiver. Turn on TV and receiver and put the receiver on the respective channel of the receiver. I hope this helps.

Front Audio Video inputs not working

What model TV is it?
it may be you need to change the input to video 1 or video 2 to get those front jacks to work. if there is a TV/Video button on the front you should be set. If not you may need the remote control. Sometimes changing the channel to below channel 1 will give you that option.

Dvd hookup

  • First make sure the audio (red &black) and video (yellow) are plugged into their respective color matching inputs on the TV monitor.
  • Second either using the TV remote contol or TV's builtin control panel set the tuner mode to video. Depends on which TV's input terminal you connect the DVD player; that's where the Video mode has to be assigned.
  • For example: if you connect them to video1, set the tuner to video1. changing the channels up or down will never set it to video mode. You must press video button to change the tuner from regular channel mode to video mode.
Goodluck!

Lcd montior with tv box but no hdmi sound

in some cases certain manufacturers say in the instructions that when using s video with seperate audio, you cannot use the HDMI for the sound and sometimes visa versa, it's just the way the output is set up. Remove the other sound cable you are using for pc or tv and just use HDMI to confirm that the sound is re-enabled on the HDMI

TV Monitor

Hi Lylell, Your LG Studioworks 221U Monitor's input uses either a D-Sub which is a standard 15 pin vga cable or a 13W3C cable which is for cad workstations. On the other hand the output of your Dish Network receiver is either RCA-type audio/video or an S-video output. Since all are not directly compatible you would need something in between and not just cables. Technically what you need is to convert composite video output to d-sub 15 pin video input. A fine example is COMP2VGA by www.startech.com originally designed for gamers. There are some in the market that are simple connector to connector such as in http://www.trianglecables.com/1footvgadbma.html, please don't bother since it has been known not to work. To complete the setup, you would need a stereo amp/speaker pair for the audio out of your receiver. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. good luck and kind regards.
