yes
but to remain legal you will have to drop the profile to around 265/35r18
the legal requirement is that the ride height of the vehicle has to remain the same with the bigger rim diameter so to get the side wall height ( profile ) has to be reduced
talk with tyre shops as they have the legal requirements and what rims and tyre combinations will be legal
Pull out tube
Pump air in to it
put under water
notice were are leaks from
using a bicycle patch kit
sand tyre around hole
glue patch over hole
wait for glue to set
check no nails, glass embedded in tyre first before you
put tube back inside tyre
put tyre back on wheel
Hi Elferns
Yep! You could do that
But the nail might damage the insides as you hit bumps.
Its a bit long winded but if you prop the car up on a jack and let the tyre down then break the seal from tyre to rim, you can reach inside with pliers and pull it out.
Also Better to use a marker on the outside to mark the entry point. You can buy a small kit with tools & rubber bead to push back in the original hole. The tool pulls out and leaves the rubber bead behind. Cut off excess.
Some people don't... but I prefer to coat the rubber bead with the included rubber glue before pushing into the puncture hole.
Kit available at 4WD shops.
Cheers
check the tyre for a nail or whatever punctured the first tube, when you remove the tube keep it in the same position as it was when it was in the tyre, blow it up and check the hole then check the corresponding place in the tyre for the nail
If the new hole is a small split you may have damaged it during fitting
