My daughter had a game already inserted into the ds and pushed another game in behind it. now the first one is stuck. Can this be removed or is the ds trash now?
The game is probably in backwards. if you can still see the top of the cartridge then try and use a butter knife to push it out. Hold the DS so that the knife and cartridge will slide away from you and press the knife down on the small lip at the top of the cartridge and forward.

Hi. You should probably try wiping over the game card and inside the game slot in case the is any dust, but if that doesn't work then I wouldn't know what to do. I hope that helps you.
CAREFULLY use pressurized air on the ds hopefully this will clean out any dust. Blow on the hole. Check another game to see if it works instead of the game you constantly keep trying. Ask her if the ds ever got wet, because once a DS gets wet and you've been turning it on or off it fries the motherboard inside and it's pretty much useless.
It is very easy bend the pins on the inside of the card slot in the DS. Depending on your daughters age's they may be the cause. Have a look into the slots with a small torch to see if any are out of line. If they are there is your problem.
On a similar point I had one recently at our shop and it had come in twice before with the same problem of not reading the games. We asked the women who was bringing it in to show us how the games were being put in to discover it was her 7 year old son and it wasn't putting the games in that was the problem, it was him pulling them out instead of pressing the game down to release it.
It would be very rare to have the exact same problem with 3 DS's in a row with the exception of the problem being caused by the user.
Just try pushing the game card farther into the slot because sometimes the DS doesn''t pick it up because it's not all the way in. That's actually the only way to help it, but if not, maybe something is wrong with your DS or there's something stuck in the slot.
The DS Card Slot may be loose. If so, try not to touch the game card while playing.
Or, there may be a piece of dust or lint in the card slot. If you can see the lint, pick it out with clean tweezers. If you cannot see it, ask a mechanic to open the Ds and pick the dust out.
