How can I restore the default ip 192.168.1.1 to the port?
Hi,
My name is Laxman,
you can restore the ip in two ways ;-
1) if you are familiar with the Router web interface configuration, just follow this instruction...
connect the computer to the Router's Ethernet port. Check the default gateway ip on the computer ( for exmple: 192.168.20.1 ). open internet browser, in the address bar type the default gateway ip as ( example: http://192.168.20.1 ) and it will prompt for username and password ( by default no username , its blank., Password is " admin " ). then you can login to the router page and see Setup page. you can find " Local IP address " ( for example it might be : 192.168.20.1 ). you can change it to "192.168.1.1" which is default one.
Let me tell you the another way which is very simple :
2) At the back of your router, you can see tiny button like a pin hole labled as RESET. you can press it with the help of pencil or paper clip for more than 45sec. your router ip would be set as default one ( 192.168.1.1 )
Warning: Pressing reset button will let you lose all settings on the router to factory defaults. user name and password , wireless settings, local ip address etc., would be set as factory defaults. you need to re-configure the router.
