After wash cycle or rinse cycle the washer will not spin. The clothes are still soaked. We checked the drain, and the drain is open. The pump is running that takes the water out. It is electric.
CHECK THE FOLLOWING---
1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain
hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom
and towards the back of the washing machine).
2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the
water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's
the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven
washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect
time to replace the belt(s) if needed.
SOURCE: washing machine does not drain during rinse cycle?
Turn timer to rinse cycle. let fill up and agitate. when it stops
agitating it should pause then start to pump water out. After about 2
minutes it should pause for 3-5 seconds then start again and spin. If
it starts the first time and never stops it will just continue to pump
but no spin. The 3-5 second pause allows the transmission to shift to
spin. If it does not do this the problem is your timer. You may need to
do this a few times to verify the problem.
If that is not the problem it is likely that you need a new clutch. You will need a technician to install a new clutch for you
SOURCE: washer spins but won't drain, electrical smell
HI, the smell is coming from the pump housing. the pump impeller may have slipped of the drive stud, in return, jamming itself in side the housing. this will cause the pump to burn out. Check the following before you replace the pump.
1. Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain
hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom
and towards the back of the washing machine).
I appreciate your post, Rachel Kovach!
From my understanding your Frigidaire frontload washer is not spinning the final spinning and the clothes are still wet. If you washer is overloaded it will not spin properly to release the water out of the clothes. Also, a small load will cause your washer to not spin properly. You should additionally check the drain hose to make sure it not kinked or twisted that could cause your improper draining. If all that checks properly it could be an issue with your drain pump, motor, and control panel. I would suggest consulting with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair. This will help avoid unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

It is a Frigidare Model: LTF7000ES1. We are having a problem with the clothes being wet, and it will not spin. It is electric water pump. The pump is working. On the spin cycle the electric water pump removes the water. There is a seperate motor that turns the drum. It does not have a high speed spin. It works on the agitate cycle.
