You are saying it has no SD card in the camera but full memory? I believe the camera has an internal memory storage too... I can't remember how much, it might need to be cleared as well.

SOURCE: memory card is locked

There is a small tab (like a very small hole with a sliding piece of plastic) on the corner of the memory card. Slide it to unlock it :)

SOURCE: SD Card Wont Work

From the NV3 Manual: (specifications)

External memory(Optional) : MMC/SD card (Up to 1GB Guaranteed)

So the camera may not support a 4GB card.

Try 1GB cards (or smaller).

SOURCE: memory card full but its new!!!!

you may have a bad memory card as well. I had to return one a few months ago it was doing a similar thing. Try formatting it first, you may save yourself a trip.

SOURCE: Full Memory with new cards

Go into the camera setup menu and make sure you have it set to save images on the card, instead of internal storage.

SOURCE: memory card saying "full" when its not

Your problem is that you are using an incompatible type of memory card.

Your camera was designed to use SD cards with a maximum capacity of 2GB. It cannot use larger capacity models, and is also incompatible with the later SDHC cards.

SDHC cards are the same shape and will fit your camera, but have differences beneath the skin and so won't work properly in your camera. Without any memory card in place your camera uses internal memory; it's then only by lucky chance that your camera has sufficient SDHC compatibility to allow you to transfer the internal memory image to the SDHC card when you subsequently insert it into your camera.

Your only solutions are to either use an SD card with a maximum capacity of 2GB or to replace the camera with a later model which is fully SDHC compliant.

Says memory full put a new sd card in says thats full too cant move anything to sd card

If you look carefully, what usually occurs is that it is the internal memory that is getting full. It is very hard to fill an SD card unless you have a LOT of pictures and videos saved. Some apps are written to allow them to be moved to and run from the SD card, others allow their data to be stored there, but unfortunately, most still seem to insist that they run exclusively on internal memory. This prohibits the ability to free up internal memory and eventually results in your having to decide which apps are more important than others. Cleaning up the memory by deleting data caches helps, but until the phone manufacturers either increase internal memory or insist that apps writers take advantage of SD cards when available, this problem will continue to haunt us all.

It keeps saying memory card is full. Bought a new memory card and put in and it still says the card is full.

Are you sure that isn't "internal" memory card is full message?

Sometimes, when "internal memory card is full" there is no more space in the camera's internal memory. Your camera has 16 MB of internal memory. The number of pictures you can store depends on the picture size setting you have selected on your camera. Keep in mind that the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed (auto default).

If really, the problem is in the "SD memory card", I suggest make some backup all files and reformat the SD. Try formatting it in the camera, there should be a process in your owners manual for doing this; donw formatted SD in your computer, isn't good.

Hope helps.
