Sony KF-60WE610 does not show any Red blinking light then it is Lamp
that need to be replaced because existing lamp has reached to end of its
life but still not dead nor broken and causing problem. If lamp got dead or broken, tv will show you Lamp light blinking. Replace lamp in tv to solve its problem. Hope these info will help you. Please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv. Let me know if you have any question. Thanks.
3 times standby red light blinking shows that lamp cover has not been placed back properly after lamp replacement. Make sure lamp cover, (the first thing that you removed to replace lamp in tv) is fixed securely then turn tv On.
New bulb is just fine. 3 blink shows that lamp cover after replacement of bulb in TV is not fixed properly or not seated well in its position. Put new bulb and carefully place back lamp cover in its position because lamp cover will press tinny safety switch inside that will send signal to system control of TV that lamp is installed properly. Turn On TV and get vivid picture of Sony. Thanks.
It is symptom of weak Lamp in your TV, replace Lamp with following part number.. A1606034B

I've had my Sony KF-50WE610 for approx. 4years now and have just experienced the prob you described (though I didn't think to count the number of red blinks). I called Sony TV technical support (888-772-7669, #3 for TV/digital cameras, #1 for TV, then #1 again I think). They said that if the power/standby light blinks 5x, that means there's something wrong with the lamp driver and service will be required. Needless to say, I better go home and count my red blinks! Tried to turn it on? Sounds like you need to replace the lamp. However, I got an additional week out of my unit. Although poorly dimmed and the red Lamp light blinked constantly for that one week, at least it gave me enough warning to seek out a replacement. But so long as you're not mistaking the Power/Standby or Timer light for the Lamp light then I would have to agree with you.
