I burned a video I made from Windows Media Player to a Memorex DVD-R. It played back on the computer fine, but then when I put it in my DVD player, the screen froze, and the DVD player wouldn't open. Then I tried to play through an X-Box 360 and that wouldn't work either. Why can't I play the DVD through anything other than my computer?

It's possible there is either a codec problem with your computer player. I would recommend trying a player such as VLC Media Player, to see if that works. If that isn't it, what kind of TV's are you watching the video on? Are they "tubed" or flat screen? If they are tubed, you wouldn't be able to see the line at the bottom like you do when you play the video on the computer.
