Did it ever print a calibration page? Although there is a firmware update available for this printer, it is not clear if all the steps were followed for setup of the printer and that has to be determined. After that is determined, you can take a look at further troubleshooting.

Can it print a test sheet? Here is that procedure:

Are there any error messages or lights flashing? If paper is not inserted correctly, if the output tray is not lowered, if print cartridges are not "unwrapped", the printer will not work. Here is another step to take:

I am assuming nothing is wrong with the cartridge head.

Lexmark T630 241 paper jam message - Indicates a paper jam from the pull down manual feed tray.

If you check to make sure and small fragments of paper are not hindering the operation of the switch. The switch is located on the left side of the tray and will be spring loaded. The switch should move freely without binding. Make sure no toner or dust is on the optical sensor assembly. See Diagram for location.

If the switch seems OK and the printer still reports an error, the printer will require professional care.

Paper jam messages can be true or false. The product might report a paper jam when there is not any paper jam. The following steps resolve both true and false paper jam messages.
