After main board replacement, a firmware update might be necessary. I don't know whether you've don it or not. If not, do it.

I have ChangHong LCD TV LT24720F.It is no power on and only stanby.I think it is firmware error. How to update firmware?

Not likely to be a update issue..........

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:

ISSUES:

1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.
2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.
3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.
4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.

Answers to issues:

1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.

2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.

Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.

Hi my plasma just cut off and will not come back on. I know my plasma needs oil to work, do you know where i can purchase oil from?

NO oil in a plasma set and only circuit boards can usually be purchased.

I have a Packard Bell iMedia 2350 that uses the Gigabyte motherboard GA-K8VM800MNF. I have replaced the IDE hard disk with a sata drive. The bios does not see the hard disk and now I am trying to find

I don't think updating the bios will change anything, it's just updates for processors if you look here: Bios Update.

Motherboard Manual here

I don't know which drive you have and your's is a gigabyte board but some motherboards have a problem finding sata2 drives even though the drives are supposed to be backwards compatible. Read this asus board

I have a Samsung 920NW with 2 bad caps and another that I don't know what it is. It is located at slot C523 (close to the gnd connection) and has heat marks on the board so I need to replace it but...

There should be 4 of those Ballast caps per lamps, they should be rated at 3000v, just look at the other 3 for number as printed on the body, for example: 22J 3K= (22 = 22pF, J= 5%, 3K=3000V).
You can go to Mouser.com for the cap.
For example: http://www.mouser.com/Passive-Components/Ceramic-Disc-Capacitors/_/N-5g90?Keyword=22pf+3000v&FS=True

The picture of the board:

You should replace more than just the 2 bad caps since the other will fail soon, make sure to use cap with LOW ESR, 105c, general purpose electrolytic cap will not last.

You may have damage the connection between the T-CON board and the LCD panel.
I would try reseating the ribbon cable between the T-CON board and the logic board, if that does not fix the problem, you will need new LCD panel.
See example here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/LCD%20panel/
