When I turn on my everex nc1500 laptop on, within a time span of 5-20 minutes, it restarts itself. Plus, for about 4 months, the screen goes black and the hard drive doesn't even spin. Wasn't til 4 weeks ago, it barely started working again. Can anyone help me?
Try to boot it in safe mode pressing F8 key before the welcome screen shows up.See if that will let you access your files,if you will get another black screen it means that probably you got infected and it will be necesary to reinstall your OS

With the computer turned off, and with the battery removed,
take a can of compressed-air, read the instructions on the side of the can, and carefully blow compressed-air through the cooling vents into your computer, to blow-out any accumulated dust.
I think that your computer is "dirty", and it is overheating after a while, and shutting itself down, to protect itself.
Also, your hard-drive may be "dying" -- copy all important files (to USB memory-stick) and replace the hard-drive.
