You probably have your flex cable broken.. see this guide.
Know this is a bit older but am hoping someone will be able to help. Thanks a lot in advance
Changed the flex cable yesterday as my screen touch buttons would not work – number keys, display itself and sound was working fine!
After changing the flex a new issue arose: when I turn on the mobile (not slid open) the display keys turn on immediately and seem to be reacting when pressed (they go off for a short moment) but the mobile does not seem to be turning on (no vibration, no sound nothing on display)?
Taking out the battery a few time and reinserting it does not always leave display buttons of – sometimes they turn back on on reinserting the battery.
Sliding the phone open before reinserting the battery everything stays dark. When switching on the mobile it vibrates and all buttons (display and number) turn on and after a short while the second longer vibrate comes but the display stays dark and no sound – instead there is a very quite cooler-fan type of noise coming from the phone – know of cause that there is no fan in the phone – just sounds like it. Could maybe also be the ******** on very slow speed/gear!?
Switching it of seems to be working fine as well.
Do I close it when all lights are lid the display keys stay on and seem to be still reacting when I touch them but when I slide it open again the number keys stay off and I cannot turn the phone of again (only way is to take the battery out)
Twice yesterday I got the staring music before rechecking the cable connections again!?
Directly after changing the cable when inserting the battery I had a situation where the flash light would turn on immediately – re-checked all cables immediately and it was gone afterwards and never came back!?
Is it for the bin – don’t want to invest a lot of money in this old – but brilliant phone. Can the new flex be faulty/broken – can’t see any physical damage on it?
Tnx a mill & regards
Andre
