Panasonic phone has duplicate handset numbers

I have 5 handsets for my Panasonic phone KX-TGA6441. I've been having all kinds of issues and somehow I now have duplicate handset numbers - e.g. 2 handsets are number 2, but I am missing number 4. I have tried to deregister the duplicates but they only deregister one of them. Then when I try to re-resigter that phone it goes back to the same number. How Can I drain the handset number form the duplicate and make it go to the next number? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Panasonic is famous for one handset not working. They like you to use their free repair, because then they can get the encryption code your phone system is using.

Local law enforcement frequently requires access to a suspect's stored phone numbers and/or conversations. So this makes it a bit easier for them to get that information. They just get the code from Panasonic.

I recommend that people just forget about the defective handset and store it somewhere.

press function button on handset, scroll to initial setting, select by pressing right arrow, scroll to registration, select, select hs registration, follow directions on handset display, pressing mute on "new" base station, and ok on handset(plugged in). If you like, you can unregister with the "old" base unit first.

SOURCE: adding handset to Panasonic KX-TGA542M phone. ? how to ?

I ordered a new kx-tg560m handset for my kx-tg5632 base unit, but the enclosed instructions for registering it with the base unit were wrong. Fortunately, I found the old quick setup guide in my files.

If you do not have the same base unit and handset, go to the URL:
http://www.panaxonic.com/RegisterYourHandset.

1. On the handset, press [MENU], then press [0][0]. The handset displays "Refer to manual to prepare base. Then press OK->"
2. On the base unit, press [SELECT] until the desired extension number [H1, H2, H3, or H4] is displayed on the base unit, then press and hold [CALL] until the CHARGE indicator flashes.
3. On the handset, press the [OK] softkey.

When the handset is off and sitting in the charger, the handset's extension is displayed in the upper right corner.

SOURCE: DeRegistering a Damaged Cordless Phone???!!!!

Here is the procedure as given to me by Panasonic Tech Support.

To DEREGISTER, using the handset you want to register, push MENU.....002.......335...and hit ok.
Then press the handset number you want to deregister (1 through 4). Don't worry if the handset says there is no link to base. This is because you just unregistered it so there will be no link.

To REGISTER, press and hold the locator button on the base unit until the green LED starts blinking. Then take the handset unit and press MENU.......001 and hit ok. Your unit should now be registered.

Good luck!

How can I turn off the not accepting calls feature on a Panasonic KX-TGA410 phone?

The KX-TGA410 is a handset for several Panasonic cordless phone systems, including the KX-TG411X. (X indicates the original number of handsets sold with the phone system.)

Is the answering system set for "Greeting Only" or did you turn off the ringer? If you have set the system to greeting only, with the phone in standby mode (no calls in or out), press Menu # 3 0 5 . This accesses the Caller's Recording Time. Use the Up/Down arrows to select a recording length. Press the soft key for Save the selection. The options are "Greeting Only", "1 minute" and "3 minutes". Press Off to exit the menu. See page 36 of the manual: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/771326/Panasonic-Kx-Tg4111c.html?page=36#manual

Alternatively, you can press Menu and navigate to Answering Device > Settings > Recording Time. Use the Up/Down arrows to reach an item in the menu and the press Select (same soft key as Menu) to enter a sub-menu. See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/771326/Panasonic-Kx-Tg4111c.html?page=22#manual .

If the ringer volume on the handset is set to zero (off), go to the Initial Setting > Ringer Settings > Ringer Volume from the handset. Alternatively: Menu # 1 6 0 . For the base, just press Volume +.

The manual for this system is available at ManualsLib: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/771326/Panasonic-Kx-Tg4111c.html .

I hope this helps.

User manual KX-TGA244W

The KX-TGA model prefix usually means the handset of a Panasonic cordless phone system. Most of the time to find the manual, you need the model number of the base. The handset model number isn't always listed in the manual or on the product support site. I did find a manual for the KX-TG2431 and KXTG2432 here: https://panasonic.ca/PCS/OperatingInstructions/KXTG2431-32-OI-Eng.pdf . The handset of this cordless phone system uses the same handset battery as the KX-TGA244W.

I hope this helps.

Can I get replacement phones (3) for Panasonic KX-TG6843B 6.0 3-Handset Cordless Telephone? This phone blocks up to 250 calls. If I keep the base, will I keep my blocked numbers.

The stored block numbers should be saved. The database is in the base's memory. Since the KX-TG6843 base can support a total of 6 KX-TGA680S handsets, you can purchase and register 3 new handsets. If needed, you can de-register the old ones from any working handset and then add even more. See page 35 of the manual, ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg6841_mul_om.pdf . Additional handsets are available from Panasonic, http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG6843B.html , Scroll down to the Accessories section and expand it. Amazon.com also has the handsets: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KX-TGA680S-DECT-Accessory-Handset/dp/B00BS4D2CU .

I hope this helps.
