Speakers are not making any sounds

Speakers aren't making any sounds. I have them plugged in to the usb port on my pc, and Ihave a radio station streaming. I've tried pushing the ''mute'' button on the side of one of the speakers, but still no sound. What should I try next?

You may have an icon that looks like a speaker in the lower right corner of your screen. If it's there left click on it. It will probably have a mute button and a volume slider. You can also access your sound controls through the control panel. Open the control panel and click on the sound icon. Click on playback device then speakers then level. You should get another volume slider bar and a mute button.

Ok let's try a simple test.unplug the the usb.i hope that your speaker has its own power supply.turn it on.try to touch the inputs of the speaker, you should hear humming sounds.if yes, then your speaker is ok.if the speaker is getting its power from the USB port, i suggest you should use its independent power.the USB does not have enough to supply your speakers. try also the output jacks for built-in audio of the pc, ok.

I have had that laptop once and had the same problem. I knew that it was the maximum volume of the speaker so I purchased external USB speakers to connect to the computer and the sound was clear and loud enough to hear anything played on the computer.

I boght the adapter tht conects my ipod to my car lighter so i can listen to it through the speakers but it wont play.is there a certain station i have to have it on?

Get your money back. There is no way to have something plug into the lighter plug and have it over take the radio or anything else for that matter. If you are wanting it to hook up to your head unit then get an aftermarket one unless you have a newer vehicle thats less than 5 yrs old and has that set up already. You will need one of two things, either a headphone cable that has male ends (like ones that are used for desktops to hook up speakers) and plug that into the the sat/usb/aux port on the radio or buy an adapter that will plug into an auxilary port on the radio.

I cannot get sound from my internal speakers on dell d600 latitude. Headphones work and sound comes out of internal speakers briefly when pulling jack plug out? So I know they work but just cannot get...

This sounds like a defective audio port. In normal operation, plugging in a headphone plug breaks the connection to the speakers. On your laptop, when you pull out the plug it makes a connection, but only briefly. Unfortunately the audio port is built into the system board. I don't think you will find a software fix for this problem. Your best bet is to get a USB sound device for external speakers.

No sound coming through Toshiba Dynadock station

Try to plug in the speaker jack to Headphone jack on you laptop not to your docking station. So the desktop speaker is treated as an external average speaker. GoodLuck!

Rear Speaker Vibrations

just right off hand does your rear speakers have a port so that air traped can be released if you port your box sound would get better
air inside of a speaker box has no where to go so it bounces off the speaker makin it vibrate out perfect harmony

also some stations and cd's can have a bad tune too them or signal which can give distortion greatly not appreciated sound
but i would go with the port suggestion first
when i built my first speaker box from scratch i found out the smaller the box the more air would dammage the speakers so i ported the boxes sound increased so much better
bigger the box better the air flow and bass

Docking station for MP3 players

I don't understand people, why pay for a docking station... when all you need is a connector from you headphone input on the player to your stereo or boom-box which has an auxiliary input. The plug you can get at any store and it only cost about 3 - 10 dollars. The plug has the same end you use on your headphones and the other end is the same as the input connectors for your stereo unit. That end would have the 2 connectors (usually red and white) that you use when connecting units to your stereo's auxiliary input. Connect and listen to your music.

Or you can buy and fm transmitter for your player and listen to your music via a fm radio station. Cost about $20 or more... depending on the name brand.
