Hi my panasonic pvq-m2509 tv is stuck on line mode. I think that's the one for vhs. I want to switch inputs but can't because the tv doesn't have an input button. Is there anything I can do to change the input?

SOURCE: I am looking for the direct tv remote code for tv

Hello

Four digit universal remote code for Panasonic TV-VCR combo are:-

0374 0381

Three digit universal remote code for Panasonic are:-

003/ 054/ 055/ 062/ 070/ 148/ 149/ 170/ 171

Direct Code Entry

  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
Code Search If after trying "Direct Code Entry" your device does not respond, or if your brand is not listed, try doing a search of the code library for your code by following these steps.
  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

I want to play ps2 on this tv but how do i hit input with out a remote

Why looking for input if you dont have the remote?
Use an RF-converter between PS2 and your tv. then set the converter and the tv at channel 3 and there you will have picture.
with the RF-converter you also can connect DVD and other devices to watch pictures.

We inherited this tv and dont have remote yet but trying to connect dvd player to it - how do i find out what channel to put it on for it to "see" the dvd?

We had this problem - plus we do not have the TV connected to cable or an antennae, nor do we have a remote. You can get to the menu options by pushing "stop/eject"" and "rewind" at the same time. Then go to the "TV" sub-menu to change the type of input.

I have a universal remote but can't get anything to work except the volume. Are there instructions for using a new remote?

..some of our people found a few issues with the combos:

http://www.fixya.com/support/t217123-panasonic_omnivision_tv_vcr_combo

...they posted that user manual as well:

http://www.fixya.com/support/p231961-panasonic_pvq_m2509_combo/manual-7873

..and here is Panasonic's download site:

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Video/Combo-Players/model.PVQ-M2509

Best bet is to ask your dealership and see if those models were recalled, or you just need "very fresh batteries".

Also always keep your IR based remotes clean and away from hot
surfaces.

Unplugged should not have been an issue.Try this to get to AUX Down Channel select passed 2 shoud be your aux input. If nothing is plugged into the A/V input you will just get a Blue Screen. Also be aware that since the switch to Digital Over the Air Broadcasting there are no more channels, you need to hook up a converter box if your TV does not have a digital tuner,Good Luck.

I have a Panasonic Omnivision with no remote. I am trying to get to the main menu on the TV. Please help!!

Manually turn the TV on with front panel Power button. Then, with no cassette inserted, hold Play and Rewind buttons on front of the TV for 5 seconds or more. The TV should shut off. Turn it back on and go through the setup procedure
