This is especially common with Phillips/Magnavox - A foggy image usually suggests that the coolant in the picture tube(s) (1or all 3) has become discolored and needs to be replaced. The only way to check this is to look directly into the crt faces (disassembly required) to see the condition of the fluid (coolant).

The convergence output IC's have failed which is a common problem with all projection tv's. They need to be replaced and this is somewhat of a major job. Unless you are real handy those big amps are not easy to get to or desolder and replace. A reputable tv repair shop usually charges around $200 to $350 to do the job.

it should have a year warranty get it in for warranty repair before the warranty runs out or someone tells you the wrong thing to go and the tv ends up as a big paperweight...

the colour problem is most likely because of signal interferance from things like microwaves and believe it or not, the sun. or it may be caused by partially dead pixels. another thing that may cause a problem like this is dust in the screen. have it taken apart and cleaned by an experienced/liscenced person. if you are nither, don't try it. you may damage your tv, or worse, hurt yourself.

Does the power light light up when power is pressed? Does it blink? If so how many times does it blink? Have you checked the fuse?

The LCD Panel is defective. You will need to replace the LCD Panel. It will probably be cheaper to replace the monitor since the LCD Panel may exceed the monitor cost.

Single lines of single color (red,green, blue) are LCD panel failures.

1 or 2 lines of single color are LCD Panel failures.

Multple color lines could be anything so in this case you start by checking the power circuit.

sounds like you need to have the two convergence IC's replaced. These are soldered on the main board. Good Luck
