My son threw the remote at the Plasma and it now has a cracked look and a group of different colored lines up the middle, can I fix this before hubby gets home?
thank you rockitman I guess I knew that but was hoping for a miracle!! Do you think it is covered under the warranty?thank you rockitman I guess I knew that but was hoping for a miracle!! Do you think it is covered under the warranty?
Crack/broken TV screens are not covered under warranty. You can sell the TV for parts.(eBay, internet, etc) Since you will probably keep the baseball pitcher, you should get a shield for the next TV. There are several companies selling them. Here is one.

Probably not,But the warranty may reduce the cost of repairs, Depends on the fine print in the warranty, but I doubt it will help at all. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. the panel needs replaced but in most cases its more than a new set .so your budget is gonna be the decision maker for you . we used a crt tv till our young one out grew that stage and im sorry i cant give you a fix :(
I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com
