The most likely cause of this is the needle is not ALL the way up, although it may look like it is. The CE machines are VERY sensitive to the needle position. The second cause is putting on the small hoop and turning on the machine; with the small hoop on, it cannot set to its default position. If you want to use the small hoop, leave all hoops off, then put in on AFTER you have turned on the machine.

I have had the same problem with my machine as well. have you tryed, keeping it hooked to your computer while sewing, even if you are not using your embroidery unit it still needs to be hooked up, that seems to have helped some with the beeping.
