If you are using a DVD-/+R then you will need to finalize it on the DVD menu before you can play it in another make of DVD player.
If you are using a DVD+/-RW then you can scan in the DVD-Video data into your PC check out my DVD tip HERE on how best to achieve this. Or if you want to lock it so that you can't accidentally record over it.
i have a coax cable output from dvr to input to VR3930. I have to play the recording (i.e. watch the recording) and record on dvd. does work, but I can only get to record in mono - no stereo.
if youre going to be recording programs from the TV , it cant be , normally TV s have A/V
inputs and NOT outputs , the only way is to connect it thru a VCR A/V outputs , hope it helps , AJ
How to set the DVD Recorder+VCR’s RF output channel
Turn off the DVD Recorder+VCR, then press and hold
CH (v/V) on the front panel for about five
seconds to change the RF output channel (CH 03 or
CH 04). “RF 03” or “RF 04” appears on the front panel display.
Solution 2
Cable Service With Cable Box
If a cable box is required in your cable system, follow the
instructions shown below. This hookup permits both TV and
DVD Recorder+VCR operation.
To view or record a CATV channel:
1 Tune the TV to the correct video input channel.
2 Set the DVD Recorder+VCR to the output channel of the
cable box using the CH (v / V) or the 0-9 keys on your DVD
Recorder+VCR (e.g., CH3).
3 Select the channel you wish to view on the cable box.
hook the video output from vcr to dvd input at rear, then hook output from dvd to tv input. note; you can not record protected vcr movies you can only record tv shows from sattelite to vcr or dvd recorder. its best to record straight from sattelite to dvd recorder for picture clarity.
while playing a dvd the player will pause then skipping to a later part of the movie. It does it on any disc weather it is old or brand new. I need help. Thank you
Thanks that did the trick.
