I bought pentax optio H90 after a couple of months that i have been used it accidentally get wet by my wife...i didnt know f my wife dried it up or not as i was not there...now the pics started to appear distorted,the lights to shinny on the pics,i check some function but still ok...only this problem distorted pics....pls help thx

That happens when you get the display wet, too cold, too hot, push on it too hard, or if it's too humid.

Yes, leave them in. The only reason to take out the memory stick is if you have pictures stored in the camera's internal memory that you want to access instead of those on the stick.

Could you have accidentally placed the camera in macro mode?

I called Pentax and they said it's a known problem and the lens needs to be re-synchronized. They said this is usually caused by dust in the lens.

Your problem is part of the dreaded A90 error code these cameras get. My camera had this last year and updated firmware cured it till this month when my wife let the battery go dead and the problem returned, but firmware update won't fix it this time around.Go to Pentax site and download new firmware for camera. Follow instructions that come from Pentax on the download to install software. Its pretty easy. These are cheap cameras as far as Pentax is concerned. They only work for about 2 years, based on other users and my experience. Good luck
