Top thread The top thread keeps breaking during sewing process. It is also difficult to pull top thread to get some slack to prepare for first stitch. Machine is threaded properly. Also it is a lot louder than when I first bought it.

Difficult to say without really seeing what's happening and which thread is breaking. If the top thread is breaking, check to make sure the thread is not wrapped around the spool pin or a thread guide.

Just some things to try:
Install a brand new needle.
Be sure to clean and remove all the thread pieces, lint, etc from under the needle plate, around the shuttle, etc. Oil as instructed in the owner's manual.
Remove all the thread from the machine. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the top and rethread the machine from the beginning. Check that the thread path is correct and the bobbin is loaded and threaded correctly.

Be sure to use good quality thread--no Old or bargain bin threads!

Be sure to pull at least 4 to 6 inches of thread through the needle's eye before beginning to sew. Pull the bobbin thread up to the top of the fabric BEFORE beginning to sew.

Then, BEFORE taking the first stitch, hold both thread tails with the left hand and then slowly begin stitching. After a couple of stitches, let go of the thread tails and continue to sew.

1. Do you mean that there are knots in the bobbin thread?
2. Is the bottom thread in your stitching looping and knotting.

If yes to 1. you need to rewind your bobbin fresh, and keep slight tension on the thread reel that you are winding it from. Put the handle of your scissors into the top of the reel to apply a gentle pressure while winding. Keep your eye on the bobbin as it winds and give it a nudge with a finger tip to ensure it winds the bobbin evenly top, middle and bottom.

If yes to 2, then you need to check your bobbin threading, is the thread even under tension. Is the bobbin tension set correctly. Break out your manual and revisit this to ensure it is set correctly.

If the thread is shredding and breaking, there is an incompatibility of your needle, thread, and fabric. Could be old, bargain bin, or poor quality thread--does the thread have little "hairs" of thread lint sticking out of it--that's probably not good quality. Look for fresh, good quality thread. Try a brand new needle--a sharp if you are sewing woven fabric. Make sure the thread is not too big for the needle eye. Sometimes, a top-stitch needle or embroidery needle will work well on FMQ. (A top-stitch needle has a longer scarf which helps protect the thread during the multiple times the needle penetrates the fabric before the thread forms a stitch. Shredding means the thread is getting worn out before it forms a stitch. A piece of thread penetrates the fabric 10-20 times before it forms a stitch.) Could also be a snag somewhere that is damaging the thread.

Most FMQ instructions say the upper and bobbin tension should be the same, however, I find my machine works a bit better when the bobbin thread is just a little tighter than the upper thread. Then the bobbin thread does not "pop" up on the top of my fabric quite as much. It's probably something you will just need to experiment with in getting used to your machine.

P.S.--when threading your machine, make sure the Presser Foot is ALWAYS RAISED so the top thread will seat properly in the tension disk. Failure to do this will cause thread barfs (usually referred to as thread nests or bird nests) under your fabric. Also, before beginning your FMQ, ALWAYS PULL the bobbin thread to the top of the fabric, then hold both thread tails gently in your left hand while you slowly take the first couple of stitches.

Might be that you need to lower the tensions quite a bit, you'll have to juggle with top and bottom tensions though, and experiment for just this operation with the Sensormatic.

you have your thread tension too tight that's why it is pulling the bottom stitch all the way through it looks good from the bottom but not good on top. Its pulled the stitch all the way through the material.

Hi, Usually wrap-ups in the bobbin area are caused by the lack of tension on the top thread. The slack arm ( shinny lever that moves up and down while sewing) has to pull the loop around the bobbin case and it does so only if the tension on the top thread is sufficient to keep it from pulling more thread of the spool.
Try this: Thread the top of the machine all the way just short of the needle eye. When the presser foot is up the thread should pull through easily. Now drop the presser foot (this closes the tension discs) and pull the tread while adjusting the upper tension control.
If everything is working correctly you should feel the drag on the thread change if not something is keeping the discs from closing.
Most Janomes aren't too difficult to remove the nose cover, usually just one screw and you can get a look at the thread path. Look for thread wrapped around the mechanism.
