Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000
Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000

Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.

The restriction code can be got from your old service provider..This restriction code is kept to prevent someone who stole the mobile fromusing it with another provider...

They will have a security check done with your date of birth etc..to verify whether you are the exact owner of the phone..

After that they will provide you the restriction code to unlock it and use it with another service provider..

Only way to tell is by putting the T-Mobile sim in it!! I use to work for AT&T and the only way we were able to tell if the unlock code we gave our customers had worked was by having them put another carriers sim card in to see if it would register on that network.

most probably you have not switch on the wireless mode. make sure you have wireless mode ON. than it will ask you for network code. than you can enter the code. or also make sure you are putting sim card in correct direction.
