You can use the free trial to unzip your file, if your running Windows 7 or 8 try right clicking on the file and select the Extract option from the menu, windows can also unzip some file types.

In all cases make sure you know the zip file is from a secure place and not one you found on a search engine, you don't want to unzip and load any maleware.

The easiest method is to open a terminal window, change directory to where the ZIP file is located and type:

unzip <filename>.zip

This will unzip the files into the current directory.

Use a computer that has WinZip or any other unzip programs. Unzip the update and put all the unzipped files onto the SD card.

I would try the driver files that Emachine says is right for your computer first before any others. On windows 98, you will need to download a unzipper program such as winzip or RAR to unzip your files. Windows 98 did not ship with a unzip program attatched. once you install the unzip program, double click your zipped file. this will bring up your unzipping program. Choose "unzip all" and make sure you know where the files are unzipped to. Go to that location & look for a "setup.exe or install.bat " file. if there's not one of those, go to your device manager, pick your sound card & click "update driver" then browse to the location that you unzipped the files to, and click "OK"

Clickhere to download winrar. After downloading, install it and tick all the archives like zip,rar etc., that you want it to open. Post back if you need more help.

Most likely the files have been unzipped to a TEmp folder. You can do a search for these files, or alternately, make a folder on your desktop and change the destination of unzipped files to that folder. You could also try using the 'Classic" view in WinZip..

Well first off, you're going to have to download the Vista drivers for the 2610 from the HP site.

Once you download them, unzip the file (just doulbe click it to unzip) and make note of where it unzipped to (it will say something like C:\drivers\xxxx

The go to your printer window.
Click the "Add printer" and local install. When it asks about drivers (what kind of printer you have) click "Have Disk" and point it at the folder the download unzipped to.

That's about it.

You don't need the install disk.

***Note***
In some cases, the download file will be a complete install routine. In that case, once you unzip it, sometimes it will go right into the install, in other instances, you have to look at the folder it unzipped to, and look for a setup.exe file

that's how some of the driver sets are sent, as a zip file. make certain you save them to a good and easy to find folder
