OK, first thing is to check the drain hose for restrictions. If there are no restrictions in the drainage assembly, the next test will be on the drain pump itself.
Start the washer and check for 120 VAC at the drain pump. If the pump reads 0 vac, replace the control. If the Pump reads 120 VAC, Remove the pump and check for blockage. If blocked, remove the restriction, if not, replace the pump
Plug off the mains. First drain out all your water by lowering the exit hose into a bucket or drain. You have to look for screws below the front kick-panel, the panel comes down & out. The pump is on the right side. Be prepared for dirty water.Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out.Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller.Carefully refit all.Your machine would be fine.Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.

E20 is an error code for drainage failure. Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage. ... Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump running
If not replace the pump.
I understand that your Frigidaire washer is displaying "E20" error code. The "E20" error code means water is not pumping out fast enough. First, you want to check the hoses for restrictions.
If the hoses are not restricted it could be an issue with the drain pump or control board. I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
The machine, based on the error code, is made by Frigidaire for Kenmore. Error code E20 pertains to a slow or no drain problem which can be due to a clogged/kinked drain hose, blocked drain filter/coin trap, or a broken drain pump. The link below provides the detailed troubleshooting procedure of this error code.
Error code E20 indicates that water cannot be pumped out of the machine. Possible causes:
Sieve filter is blocked. Open the sieve lid, (lower right of machine) and clean.
Drain tube bent or blocked. Check for bends and straighten the tube, open hose band clips and check inside for objects or dirt.
Some small object (coin, children's toy, ...) blocks the drain pump. Pump needs to be dismantled and cleaned.
#1 and #2 you should be able to do yourself. With a little aptitude for repairs, you can do the fix #3 yourself, too. If you don't trust yourself to get all parts back together, let a service technician do the repair for you.
It doesn't spin because it has to drain first. E20 means not draining. You'll very likely have something caught in your drain pump. If you take the two screw off at the front, very bottom of you washer you'll be able to pull down the small panel to reveal the drain pump at the right corner. if you empty all the water from your machine you can take off the spring clamp attaching the thick rubber hose from your tub to your drain pump. ( you may want to have some old towels ready ) With this off you can feel around for what's blocking the drain pump's impeller. You may want to take the screws out that secure the drain pump to the base and the other spring clamp that attaches the drain hose to the drain pump. Good luck!
