Question about GE JVM1790 1000 Watts Convection / Microwave Oven
We are replacing a GE Spacemaker JVM1640 and hope to upgrade to the GE Profile JVM1790.
The JVM1640 was installed as a top vent, and it goes up through my cabinets.
Is there some way I can tell - before purchasing the JVM1790 - that the templates will match? I really don't want to drill any more holes in my cabinets. :-)
Make your own template of the holes in the top of your cabinet and lay it over the new unit and see if they align. As long as your replacing GE with GE it probably will work.

You can download GE
owner's manuals and installation instructions here.
If it;s not there, you can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.
