1) Click the phone app
2) Click the "Contact" tab in the phone app. It's at the bottom of the screen, in the middle.
3) Click the plus sign at the top right corner of the screen
4) Create your contact
5) When you've filled out the contact card, click done

4. "Tap Edit" That gives a bunch of red circular dots with minus signs in the middle.
5. Tap the red with minus sign button next to each of the calls you want to remove.

I also have an IPhone 4 so I might be able to help you with your problem. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top and Press the home button on the bottom at the same time for around ten seconds. The phone may first display the regular shutdown screen and red confirm switch; ignore it and keep holding the buttons, only letting go when the Apple logo appears. I hope this helps you.
