Upgraded Acer 2500 Travelmate with a Wireless card

You can install and configure the wireless lan very easily, First of all you require to download the driver for your Acer Travelmate 2410 by below mentioned link
Wireless LAN Driver (Approx 12 MB)

when you download the driver simply right click and extract to the folder, now run the setup and it will install the wlan Drivers automatically, when the drivers are installed reboot the system once so they will run properly, now you will notice one new wireless icon in taskbar along with clock , simply click on the icon and it will show you all the available wireless networks in your area, click to choose your desired network (might require passkey if its secure) and you will be able to access internet/network with wireless connectivity

some acer travel mates dont have a wireless card, open it up at the bottom (youll see 2 pannels one is the memory the other the wireless card) if you have a card in both slots you have wireless already, and just activate it vie the control panel

Instructions
1. Step 1 Navigate to Acer's support and driver download website at support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx.
   
2. Step 2 Choose "notebook" from the "Product family" list.
   
3. Step 3 Select your product line (Aspire, Travelmate, etc.).
   
4. Step 4 Select your model number to identify the exact machine you own.
   
5. Step 5 Scroll down the "Wireless LAN" entry, under the "Driver" tab.
   
6. Step 6 Click the yellow "Download" button located to the left of the "Wireless LAN" entry.
   
7. Step 7 Open the installation file once the driver has finished downloading.
   
8. Step 8 Follow the on-screen directions to install the wireless driver.
   
9. Step 9 Restart your computer when prompted to do so by the driver installer. This will finalize the installation process.
   
10. Step 10 Attempt to connect to a wireless network.

you formatted your harddrive and installed the drivers except the wlan and lan drivers?

no problem. That's right. On the website you can find several LAN drvers, because they don't always mount the same adapters, even if it is the same model of computer.

hey there is a external linksys wireless network adapter that works well it plugs in your usb slot
they are by linksys.
Linksys
Range Plus Wireless USB Compact Adapter should get you the correct range for around home and outside in your yard. check ebay for this solution its much cheaper here. thanks Kawuna

Your Acer 2310 should have a built in wireless card,it should show in My computer>right click>properties>hardware tab>device manager>network adapters, here there should be two listed, 1 wireless, 1 wired lan card the driver can be found here: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/tm_2310.html
