The provided HDMI female receptacle is being used by the DirecTV hookup. Is there an adapter, from coaxial cable to HDMI (male receptacle)?

Need additional space to hook up Chromecast (via HDMI) to my TV.

HDMI cable has several diferential digital (LVDS) signals that also carry digital audio on them, not compatible with coax!

SOURCE: I have a Sony KDS

First, make sure your signal is in 1080P. Most likely, you have to go into the TV menu and tell it to show in 1080P. Most TVs give you the option.

SOURCE: no sound when hooking up DVi to HDMI...

This is normal, when you go from HDMI to DVI, the sound does not get transmitted. You need a separate cable to go from audio output on the computer to Audio input to the TV. There are speaker (headphone on laptop) jack to RCA audio cables, you could also go with digital audio or even optical out if your computer and TV both have the input and outputs.

SOURCE: I have a sony kf-60we610 2004 and I can't get my basic directv box hooked up right

Consult the owner manual (available online for free) From direct box it will usually go to one of the matching sets of jacks on rear of set---match colors on plugs on rear of box to rear of set.

If all else fails get direct (they may charge) to come out and set it up.

I moved the Mintek Tv from my bedroom to the living room, the tv cable cord will not screw into the Tv, I was told that I need a adapter, coax to av-rca, is this correct? What do you think?

Not sure due to lack of information to go on
I. think you need a tv coaxial female to f plug male adapter
really depends on the TV cable cord what is the gender of the end of the cable if it is coaxial male then the adapter needs a female coxial
if the tv has a female socket hole then the f type part of adapter needs to be a male.

The tv manual may shed some more info on the type of RF antenna coaxial connector. it uses.
RCA can be confused as av is to do with with hooking up a Video recorder with Video output being the yellow plug and audio with Red and white plugs.

I think you need a RF coaxial adapter rather than AV RCA if you are connecting tv to a tv antenna or tv antenna splitter device.
there is a RCA standard that has adapter like below link http://www.radioparts.com.au/product/30255099/pa5099-%27f%27-plug-to-rca-socket-adaptor#.VUa7uJM_xhI
again gender types are needed to be considered before deciding if correct type of adapter..
You could research the rca rf standard to see if it is used in your country. My country uses Pal coaxial standard.

I wanna hookup my toshiba L505D-GS6000( with no HDMI) notebook to my samsung tv and have sound. What cables do i use? I used a DVI cable got pic no sound.

You need an 1/8th inch male to two RCA male Y cable. the Y cable is only going to be 3 inches long so you will need to extend that with two cables to the length you want. For that you will need two RCA female barrels and two male to male cables at whatever length you want them to be. If you can solder you can make a cable without barrels.

Using with a laptop

Connection the monitor depends on the connections you have out of your Toshiba laptop.

The monitor has both VGA and DVI.

If the Toshiba has a VGA out, all you need is a VGA cable available online, computer or electronics store.

If the Toshiba has an HDMI out, you can connect it to the DVI on the monitor with an HDMI cable and an HDMI to DVI Adapter.

You can also use USB out with either a VGA converter or a DVI converter (go with DVI for the better picture). Converters can be found online at Amazon, you may also need a standard male to male DVI cable to use with the converter.

Toshiba D-VR610KU

All coaxial inputs or outputs on any unit is the screw-post type. The female part is a standard coaxial cable that slips onto the posts on the unit. Are you trying to convert Coaxial to RCA?

I cannot find the hole to plug in my Comcast Cable hookup?

You are missing the Coaxial Adapter.

Visit www.samsungparts.com
At the search by dialog box at the top right, type SYNCM910MP
You should find 16 parts for your LCD monitor.
Click on 3705-001191 which is the 2nd part listed.
The part title is called CONNECTOR-COAXIAL, MALE TO FEMALE.

You can download the manual at www.samsung.com. Search 910mp and download the 20mb user manual for tips on setting up and troubleshooting. Good Luck.

Cable in connection

Hi,

Most TV models/cable providers uses the F type of coaxial connector as shown below. 7c21c7e.jpg
However, some versions intended for other regions (Europe & Middle East) uses the PAL type of connector likewise shown below.
be2f30d.jpg
If your model uses the latter and your cable provider uses the F type, what you need is a straight F type Female to PAL Male adapter. Or it could even be just the other way around.
f66d800.jpg
They are available in most electronic parts/supply store or online. You can try here, here or here.

Hope that this be of idea/help. Pls post back how things turned up, r should you need additional information and/or if your cable connectors are of different types. A photo of the connectors would be nice.

Good luck and kind regards.
