Problem with 2001 1.6 Focus which i was going to purchase for the wife, but problem with central locking! key fob totally dead even when i tried the reprogramming trick (key in ignition press button several times) and when locking/unlocking manually, central locking only working intermittently! Hi steve,try the central locking fuse,fuse 63.its in a stupid place (thanks ford)its at the back of fuse panel.two bolts release the fuse board,turn it around and there it sits,20 amp fuse.replaced mine and its working great.hope this helps mate
Bit late but unplug the 2 blocks from the siemans control box under the drivers side dash leave for a hour and plug back in also do the reprograming for the key fob after you plug them in worked a treat for me

get in your car close door hit the unlock button then put key in the ignition cycle the key from off to on (STOP BEFORE START POSITION) cycle key off to on 7 times after the 7th trime the doors should lock the unlock automatically that means u are in trainning mode hit the unlock button on key fob. the key fob should now work if it doesn't then try changing batt
