I can not tune on even fraquencies

Hi, I have an KD-S5050 JVC radio, and I can tune only on odd fruquencies (88.7, 88.9, 89.1 etc')

How do I change the mode to tune on even frequencies as well (e.g. 88.8)?

Thats USA tuning, you can only get those odd stations on that deck.

How to change the clock on my kd-s5050

Press and hold the Sel (Select button) for more than 2 seconds. Release the button when you see Clock H, Clock M, SCM Link or Level. Use the Up/Down arrows (on the right side of the panel) to navigate to the Clock H option. Use the +/- buttons (on the left side of the panel) to set the current hour. Using the Up/Down buttons to navigate to Clock M. Then use the +/- buttons again to the current minutes. Then press Sel again to exit the clock set mode.

JVC has the manual for the KD-S5050 on their support site: http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?modelId=MODL027124 . The direct link to the manual is http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/95/GET0171-001B.pdf . The procedure for setting the clock is on page 15. Note: you'll need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read or print the manual.

I hope this helps.

In North America, all FM frequencies end in an ODD number only. What country are you referring to?

CONNECTING AN AUX CABLE TO PLAYER

Unfortunately, you can't. I have the same deck, and it has no aux in capability. The S5050 is simply a CD player, not even an MP3 player.

RAdio skips two numbers when tuning

You have a US tuner not a European one. Only European tuners can change the even numbers. USA uses the odds. As far as I know, the US models aren't capable of tuning to the evens.

Cannot tune to local stations

- The 0.2MHz odd steps are standard for US radios. Try resetting the radio (recessed button under the front panel) If this a US radio then this may not help. If you have lost the manual then go here:- http://books.jvcservice.com/booklist.asp?Model=KD-G400 Come back and say if this helped or not, I could dig a bit deeper.. -

Tuning station problem

Try this: "Hold FM/AM and Press #5". This solution is for a different model JVC stereo, but hopefully it will work for yours as well.
