Posted this several years ago. Don't know if it's the same oven. It's possible the oven sensor has gone bad or lost connection. Try cutting out the little plastic electric plug that connects the sensor to the oven wiring. Then hard wire it together with two small wire nuts.
If that doesn't work, you will need a new sensor, as we did. But when we installed it, we used the little plastic electric plug to connect it. Two days later it started acting up again.
The instructions said to hard wire it with two small wire nuts, but since it came with a plug it made sense to use it. Finally, even though it didn't make sense, I cut out the plastic plug and hard wired it. It's been about 3 years now and we've had no further problems.
THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT LITTLE PLASTIC ELECTRIC PLUG. YOU MUST NOT USE IT. HARD WIRE IT.

Have a Whirlpool oven ,model,w10221843a,has power but wont heat....help! What could be the problem?
I had similar issue with my electric stove as well. The model of the stove is the same as the one that us mentioned above on the beginning of the this discussion. The issue I had on my stove was that the display shows time and no error code how ever the oven top light indicator comes on but the oven won't heat up. Here are the steps I took to fix the issue: First I unplugged the stove and used a multimeter to verify that it has 240Volt coming. It checked good for 240v. Second, I opened up the terminal on the stove where the plug connects, there I discovered one of the hot leg has melted and broken thus only 120v getting to the stove. I repaired the broken wire and verified 240v coming in the stove and stove was fixed for good. I further investigated what caused the wire to melt and broken, my finding was exposed hot wire shorted to the stove body (ground). Hope this helps. Thanks for reading

If you have the older type stove with the oven knob that has the temperature setting around the outside of the knob, then that part could be bad. It is called a thermostat. That part usually comes with sensor attached. The sensor is the long skinny looking tube that goes through a hole and into the oven.
If you have the newer type electronic stove where you program in the temperature you want, the electronic circuit board could be bad. But the electronic stoves have a over temperature protection built into the circuit board, so that would have engaged, shutting down the stove.
Either way, it is a potential fire hazard and needs to be addressed.

If you have a pilotless model it is very likely that your oven igniter is bad. This is fairly easy to replace. A contunuity check will show if the igniter is bad.

Yes they do, these cutouts are situated on the inside attached to the outer cavity of the stove.
If the outer cavity gets too hot, it cuts out power to the element (sometimes the whole stove) to prevent any damages. If the temperature then goes down, it then allows continuity to go through it again.

I'd suggest checking your temperatures with a digital thermometer (Can be purchased almost anywhere), it could be the start of a faulty Thermostat.

If the fan is working o/k, then I would suggest that bthe oven fan elementt has failed.
This is usually located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

Stoves 720ef fan oven cuts out after a while, then cools down and restarts......help
There are thermal cutouts for both ovens. When the fan oven cuts out, does the thermostat display and the oven lamps go out as well or do they stay on? Is the oven cooling fan working ok, i.e. does it run for about 10 mins after you turn all the controls off? Do you think the oven thermostat is working ok and not running too hot? If it is, Lakeland do an oven thermometer for about 5 pounds that you can check the thermostats with.
