I have upgraded the one (1) user serviceable memory slot on my laptop. I have no idea where the second slot (to be installed by Toshiba Service Center) to upgrade that memory also. Thank you
Thanks for your help I have looked for this forever. Any speed up tricks you can share. I have IE7 and it takes 100% of my 2g processor to open. I have all the add-ons shut down that are not required, disk cleaned and defraged, no virus or trogans, up to 1meg of memory it just is slow and sometomes stops responding when I open IE7

Which Anti virus and spyware programs are you using ?
Are you using addtional firewalls other than windows ?
Now if you go to task manager, by hitting , control, alt, and delete at the same time, then click on processes. You will see the programs that are using high cpu & memory usage.

This is the only card that works in the mini-PCI slot in the 1905 series. eBay would be your best bet. You can look under "Toshiba 1905 wireless card" but ... make sure it's an Agere card, as most sellers are selling Intel, Broadcom, Atheros.... and none of them will work.

Hi! You may want to toggle the function button designated for turning the monitor on or off. Press FN button together with th efunction button that has a monitor image on it. some system uses F2 of F3 button to do this. (Example: press FN+F3 or FN+F2 button together once while computer is on to turn on system display)
There are 2 types of memory, one for laptops and one for pc.
Your additional stick seems to be for pc from what your saying.
Additional thoughts: I'm sure you can buy sticks for laptops at walmart or whereever you bought ur laptop. Just make sure it is the same speed type. Example: yours is 512mb ddr PC 5200, you will need to find PC5200, the 512mb and up you shouldnt have to worry about. So do your research before you upgrade or you will burn your laptop.
this may be too late for you, but I had the same problem with my old toshiba laptop. The support person I talked to had me take out the battery, leave the computer plugged in and push and hold the on button for 10 - or 15 seconds. She said it discharges something or other and to periodically run the computer without the battery. Sometimes my screen just goes blank on my new computer and this always fixes the problem.
Thank you very much Great work
