Jus try the fuji site, for support. I managed to get new software for my Canon, last week. The only thing to get the software running on my MAC, was connecting my camera to the MAC, so the software could verify I connected a Canon camera. Fuji won't be much different.
try this link:
Download Drivers Software

I have searched over time, I never have found that software for free on the net. You can get a CD off eBay for a few bucks

I have just lost the photos from my new 8gb memord card using brand new powershotSX30IS.

You haven't given us much to work with. Unless you've deleted the pictures on purpose or formatted the card, your pics are still there. You could get a card reader and use it to download your pics to a computer. You could also take the card to a store like Walmart and use one of their picture kiosk machines to either print the pics or even make a cd copy of them. typrice_239.jpg

CHECK IF YOUR MEMORY CARD IS CORRECTLY FORMATTED AND IS FUNCTIONAL AND COMPATIBLE WITH THE CAMERA.YOU CAN DO THIS BY INSERTING THE CARD TO A CARD READER AND DO AS REQUIRED.

you don't need a cd or software to upload the pics to your computer you just need a sd card reader to connect your card to the pc and from there you can move the pic from your card to your computer. A card reader is actually quite cheap.
