We have a neff w4380 washing machine and it is not spinning after it completes its wasy cycle. There is a sort of clicking sound just before it starts the spinning cycle. I have cleaned the filter but still not spinning. Any advice?

Sounds like motor brushes have worn out will need to remove motor to replace they are inexpensive.the clicking is the relay telling motor to rotate clockwise or anticlockwise.

The most likely fault is the anti flood device in the bottom of the machine is activated and has switched on the pump so look in the bottom of the machine check for leaks an dry up all overflow of water that should sort the problem
possible hose blockage or filter blockage. when half way through the cycle the machine evacuates the water to replace for rince cycle or to start spin cycle if the way is blocked the water cant go out so the machine can not finish the cycle, and usually the door will stay locked so not to flood, when the water is still in the machine. remove and check the drainage hose for kinks and blockage. also remove and check the filter under the machine. (be careful as this will let out all the water so have some towels or bucket ready to catch the water. once the filter is clean replace and restart your machine. I hope this was useful.
You can check if the drive is struck or the motor is struck. It will be good to confirm with a voltage check to see if power comes to the motor during the program cycle. if not the program controller is faulty. If yes the motor must run, if with a starting capacitor it must be weak and replaced.
If the drive is tight remove and reset.
when the machine makes drowning sounds and beeps error dry (while trying to drin out) blow strongly into the drain pipe. It should result in a higher flow of water out the drain pipe and error 3 should go away.
What is the temp of the water coming in to the unit. If it is not hot enough some machines heat the water up to a prescribed temp before washing, rinsing etc..... Could be a problem with the sensor too...let me know,
"e" is economy - ignore this
there is a selection of spin speed - most people use the fastest
half load is what it says - most people wash a full load so ignore
the temp dial just selects wash temp. for normal washes set to 40deg
can't remember the symbols on program dial but think they are fairly self-explanatory
this machine is just a washer
remember to check the filter regularly
