Computer started out with the screen opening to the windows screen, said drivers all installed, when I left room to get mouse and came bk to get keyboard and mouse plugged in when I did screen went into sleep mode and won't come out of it. I have not put the windows disc bk in to finish registering bc I'm not sure what to do about the monitor remaining in sleep. It flashes auto response that says touch mouse, keyboard, or comp power button but none of these change anything. Is there a diagram that will show me if I have everything in right port, etc., or is there some other kind of problem?
SOURCE: Monitor shows nothing on screen, power button on solid, none of other buttons respond.
plz try by removing the connector of the monitor from the back of cpu while keeping your monitor power on. if you get any message in the monitor then your monitor is ok. then open your side cover and try by resiting the ram, you have to swithch off your pc before opening your side cover. If you dont get any thing in the monitor then *********** board is having problem
SOURCE: my computer will only turn on in "sleep mode"
You have to go to control panel/power options, make sure that you just disable sleep mode or hibernation and also that it is set to turn on and off when you press power button or shutdown. What Operating System are you running ie: Vista, XP? You might need to switch control panel to classic view to see power options. If this doesn't work then sometimes it can be set in the bios. Repost if that is the case and I will give you instructions.

Plug the monitor into another computer to determine if the monitor is damaged or working properly. You can also plug another monitor into your computer to determine the same thing.
You should be able to just press the main system unit power button to wake up your 'sleeping' computer which will then resume your Windows desktop and bring you back to the Login panel if you have a password set for your account.
