Remove the battery and try to power on with the ac adapter.
With the battery and ac adapter removed, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to a 1 minutes. We are trying to remove all the excess power from the computer, remember capacitors can still hold power. Now power on the computer with the battery and ac adapter.
Remove the ram and reinsert the ram. Sometimes the memory somehow manages to get a bit loose overtime. Try to power on the unit and see if turns on.
Try to connect to an external monitor to determine if its hardware issue by just connecting only with power adapter. If it works, then its screen and screen connection issue. If it doesn't work, then its motherboard/video problem.
