This is a CRT model set.  There is no lamp to replace as there would be if it was DLP or LCD technology.

I don't know what you mean by "re-energize the picture".  More information is needed.  Is the screen lit?  Do you have audio?  If the screen is not lit do you have on-screen display when you hit the menu button.  If the screen is lit do you have a full screen?  If you have a picture what does it look like?

It is possible that the mirror and lenses are very dirty and just need to be cleaned.  To do that you would need to remove the front screen assembly.  Usually you have to remove the speaker grill.  Sometimes these are simpy attached with velcro and if so they just pull off.  Sometimes there are screws from the back that holds the speaker grill on.  I think on this model it is held on with velcro.  If so put your fingers on the sides of the speaker grill or the bottom and pull it off.  When the speaker grill is off there are screw at the bottom of the screen assembly that need to be removed.  There may be plug in cables attached to the switch assembly at the bottom of the screen assembly.  If so unplug them and lift up on the screen assembly to remove it.  Use a soft lint free coth and amonia free window cleaner to clean the 3 picture tube lenses and the mirror.  If these are very dirty you will see a significant improvemnt in you picture quality after they are cleaned and everything is reassembled.

I need to change the light bulb in my DLP TV. Where can I call to have someone do this?

You do not have to call anyone, this is a customer replaceable part and is fairly easy to do.

You can buy the lamp on the internet--get one from Samsung. Let me know model number---lamp is either at the back of the set or one side and the owner manual will tell you where.

I am willing to help you replace the lamp--it is a ten minute job and you should not have to pay someone to do it.

Usually all that is needed is to remove the door that covers it (one screw) and remove the two screws that hold it in; there will be a handle on the lamp housing and you just pull it out, insert the new lamp and put the screws back, the door back and bingo you are in business.

Let me know if you have questions and if you give me the model number (it is on the right side of the set and on the back of the set as well) I will get you a part number and tell you how to find it on the internet--most places like Samsung will ship it fast and give a warranty--do not buy a generic lamp--they are no bargain.

The lamp was meant to be replaceable by the customer and is easy to do.

let me know the model number and if this information has told you something you did not know rate this solution as "very helpful" as I do this here for free.

I am here to help you, let me do that.

How do I change the lamp? Lamp came with no directions. This is a HD72.

Hello there,If your movie projector light bulb has stopped working, there are some simple steps to take to get your movies playing again. The hardest part may be finding the correct replacement bulb. There are so many different models with their own specific bulb. Here are some steps to follow to replace your burned out light bulb.
  • Locate the bulb in the movie projector. You may need to use a screwdriver to open the bulb compartment. Check your owner's manual for proper procedures.
  • Step 2.Remove the movie projector light bulb or lamp. The bulb must be cool before you take it out. Use a tissue or cloth to remove the bulb because the glass bulb is very fragile. Do not throw away your bulb yet, you may need it to help find a replacement.
  • Step 3.Find replacement bulb. The Better Lamps website offers a wide variety of light bulb models. From their homepage select the brand of movie projector you have and using the model number from your old bulb, buy a replacement.
  • Step 4Replace the movie projector lamp or light bulb. Do not touch the bulb with your skin. This can transfer oils from you onto the bulb resulting in a hot spot which can make the bulb burst. Use a tissue or cloth to handle the new bulb to screw it back into place and then replace the cover.

    Replacing lamp need directions

Step one: Turn off the set and let it cool down.
Step two: There should be an access panel saying lamp on the back
on the cover. You will need a phillips or flat bladed screw
    some models are different.
Step three:Be sure you take out of the screws that are holding the
lamp. I know on RCA there are about two holding it place.
Step four: Carefully pulled the lamp out and put the new one in it.
Make certain that you screws the lamp screws down not to
    over tighten .
Step five: Put the lamp cover back on, plug the set in and let it boot up
    you are back in business.

    Oven Halogen Lamp

It's pretty simple to replace the light without having to remove the oven from the long as you have an offset phillips screwdriver...

Of course, be sure to disconnect power to microwave and be sure not to touch the new halogen bulb with fingers.

First, remove upper vent panel and remove inner filter (same directions for just replacing inner carbon filter):

Then, remove inner plastic grille (2 screws) and final screw on left side of metal "air duct" - here's where you'll need the offset screw driver (and a little patience!):

Then, you can gently lift the sheet metal panel, find the light housing, squeeze and remove/replace :)

That's it...just replace bulb and reverse for reassembly. Be sure to keep track of screw locations there are various sizes/lengths used.
