Finding the original replacements for these fruitless, unless I want to spend $75 a piece from Sears. I have found other models that appear to be the same --> 20861 E221612 105C 60V VW-1 (41 pin and 51 pin). I have no idea what these mean. I have found other models that have same pin and appear to use the same ribbon code as above, will it work?

Take that piece of junk and toss it. There are simply no replacement parts available. Replace with a Pentair 3/4HP Dynamo and a 75 sq. ft. filter unit. You can use the existing Intex hoses with 1" couplers and pipe clamps. Buy a length of 1-1/2" flexible spa hose to connect from pump to filter. It'll cost about $400 all told for this setup (if you do the install yourself), but you'll recoup the cost in the 3-4 years you'd spend replacing the 635 annually.

I just went through this with my dryer. I started by replacing the controller board which was the less expensive part and after finding that not to be the problem I then replaced the Touchpad. Problem solved! I found a rebuilt controller board on amazon for half price which I left on the dryer even after finding it was not the problem then ordered the touchpad from a friend that has a parts store. I could only save $30 by purchasing this way but a penny saved is a penny earned. Anyway my dryer was doing exactly what yours is doing and had I to do it over, I would start with the touch pad from Sears.com for $288 and change. Plus shipping of course unless you have a sears parts store near you. Go to download manuals at sears.com and enter you dryer model number. Mine was 110.8586.1400. I hope this helps.
The control panel has a flat ribbon cable that plugs into the relay module. The ribbon is actually two ribbons pressed together. The plastic insulation has a defect, and the leads between the two ribbons cross. You can seperate them easily by lifting them apart. Place a piece of paper between them to act as an insulator. This should solve your problem. Good luck!!!
Don't replace anythingf, try this! The insulation in the ribbon cable is poor. The conductors in the cable are crossed. The ribbon cable is actually two ribbons pressed together, and the conductors between the two cables are shorting or becomming crossed. Lift the two cables apart, place a piece of paper between them, fold the edges of the paper over the cable so that it does not slip out, and make sure to shove it all the way down to where it will meet the plastic display panel housing. There, problem solved.
Are you a trained service technician with the service manual at your fingertips? If not, what made you think you could fix a sophisticated piece of electronics like a digital camera?
Hi, I have a Royal Companion Portable from 1940's. I bought new ribbons at mytypewriter.com (select the "Royal Portable" ribbon). It fits. Anyway if it doesn't it's not an expensive mistake, but I researched this and apparently all vintage Royal Portables have the same standard ribbon. Worked out in my case. Good luck!
Seems the LifeDrive Micro Drive is the killer on these Palms. Mine did the same thing and after extensive online research I found that the micro drive can be replaced with a Compact Flash card which is much more reliable. Apparently there are only certain CF cards that work with the LifeDrive though. I have found at least one retailer that sells a compatible CF preloaded with the Lifedrive software. The route I took for repair was to send it out to a guy that advertises his service on eBay. You send in the LifeDrive, he diagnoses it for $5, and can install the CF card with software for $89 (he waives the $5 if you have him fix it). I am looking forward to getting mine back in permanent working order! Here is the link: http://myworld.ebay.com/itsnothere/
