bleach runs out the front an the floor

I have the same problem. It looks like the dispenser is leaking out of the back--maybe a hairline crack. Is it possible to replace the dispenser?

I have the same problem with my LG. I have found that if I let the entire dispenser drawer dry out completely (remove drawer from unit and air dry) that the bleach dispenser works perfectly. My theory is that once water is in the siphon tube it mixes with the bleach you're adding and starts the siphon (dispensing) process prematurely. I consider this a design flaw.

I had this problem and checked for build-up on the dispensers as recommended by LG, but no build-up. I believe the problem is casued by the front of the dispenser drawer tipping down when extended to add bleach. I stopped this by holding it level as I added bleach and pushed the drawer back into place. So you need to add detergent first then lift the front of drawer to level it then add bleach. When the drawer is extended and tips down the bleach drains from it's compartment and should run into the machine but since the drawer is tipped the bleach runs out the back and dribbles to the front of the drawer. It is a problem with their design there should be a rubber flap or something to assure this does not occur.

DO NOT overfill the bleach dispenser. The first time it happened to me, I knew I had put a little too much bleach in. When I turned the machine on, it ran out and down the front of the machine into a puddle on the floor. I did it once again, and the same thing happened. Now that I'm aware of it, it hasn't happened since.

Remove the screws on the back of the top and lift the top off. Pour water into the bleach dispenser and watch to see where the leak is coming from. Post back your findings.

My new LG washer always has water in the soap dispenser, bleach dispenser, and fabric softener dispenser after the cycle has finished. Is this normal?

Mine too!! Very annoying, especially since the water then drains down onto to floor and has actually made the door hinges stiff! I just use powdered bleach now.

Bleach remains in bleach dispenser after washing and even after extra rinse cycle

I put the bleach in with the load right on top of the whites, so I dont have bleach left in the dispenser for the next load. Seems to work okay.

Bleach leaking on floor

hiya was a bit puzzled at this one ? but will try to help not certain re your machine about bleach in dispensor but consulted the wife about bleach in our machine and no where in the manual does it mention use of bleach only softeners ? however you mention dispensor does not dispense ? try this? remove/pull out drawer and clean out the machine where drawer fits of any residue powder alsi the softener dispensor remove from drawer and ensure the cap is good fit on the dispensor tube ? if loose? then the dispensor will not work as it is emptied of softener//bleach by syphon effect ie as like toilet flush? as water enters rises to tor of tube then the fluid in compartment is syphoned along with water that is entering on rinse? cycle so if no syphon? water will o/flow/fill the drawer on l/h side and may o/flow leak from drawer ?? hope this helps? and you understand the syphon effect for using softeners ? ps i may be mistaken about use of bleach but prior apologies if iam wrong

Bleach not always being emptied, bleach marks on clothes, bleach sometimes runs right out when you fill it.

The dispenser works on a siphon principal. If you over fill the cup it will start the siphon and empty before it should. If that's happening you're using way too much. You only need about a tablespoon of soap, softner and bleach for a full load.

LG washer leaking problem

You may be using too much detergent.  Use only 2 tablespoons of detergent in your wash.  Using too much will oversud the machine causing the suds to go out the back vent and on to the floor giving the sense of a leak.
On the dispenser, make sure that the containers are clean and free of any debris.

Lg wm1812cw front load washer

We had the same problem- for us it was because we were mixing laundry booster (Oxyclean) with liquid soap in the dispenser. It seems the water running through the tray had insufficient pressure to properly flush the tray out, so residue accumulated on the back & underside of the tray. Our water pressure is good here, and we don't use a water softener or filters that can reduce the pressure. Unfortunately it seems to just be a bad design of the soap dispenser tray.

We also had a problem with water/bleach leaking from our soap dispenser- when we used the bleach compartment in the dispenser we got leaks dripping onto the floor from behind the front cover of the washing machine. It was running down the front of the washer behind the front cover & coming out onto the floor. The repair guy said this was because the dispenser tray was pulled out too far, but the reason we were pulling the soap tray out so far was because the bleach compartment was too far back in the tray to use if we didn't. Now we just leave the drawer partially closed & pour the bleach directly into the soap compartment along with the soap.
