Both my front and main screen displays show a permanent blue screen. I did not get my phone wet or leave it in the heat and my battery was never really low or left uncharged. It started the first time but after i shut off and turned on my phone a few times it showed back up. I went to bed and left my phone on the counter and when i woke up it went blue again and has been like that for two days.

It's no longer necessary to dry or to leave exposed for 24 hours, to leave it at least 24 hours means right after it's soaked/wet without putting on the battery or without switching it on.
Now to test/check whether your phone is still functional, insert the sim card and battery, power on the phone, and try to reach the main menu/try to boot it normally (you have this blindly since your display is not showing). If you think it properly booting, then dial your number from another phone, if you feel or if it rings the incoming call, then the problem is only with the display, could be the Lcd itself or could be connector or could be display ic. The only least expensive thing you can try is, replacing the display.
If you think it's not properly booting and you feel it's not working, you can still go for a repair if you can find any repairing or servicing center near your locality.
(I can't make all these specific since you didn't mention the Model number)
Its one of the most common problem in Samsung SGH-A707.It is mainly due to one reason i,e. your cell got wet.....!!!
But you can try following steps to get rid of it:
Takeout the battery of your phone.
Leave your cell in air for a day or two without attaching battery and battery cover to it.
Put the battery back,it should work.If still problem exists, then
I'll recommend you to buy a new battery for your cell........and before
you put that new battery in your cell, leave your cell in air for
another two days with the same procedure.
You most likely need a new ribbon cable, which is the cable that connects the two halves of the phone. They are not expensive and can be ordered on eBay, and they come with the tools required to disassemble the phone and replace the cable.
Hi. this reoccurringerror is due to programing and hardware failure. you will need to remove the battery for 5 minute. if the error continues after you re insert the battery, this will confirm this fault in the hardware. your phone will require repair in this case.
Sounds dire. If you look inside the back of the phone, there should be a small spot that turns from white to pink when the phone gets wet. If that spot is bright pink, most repairers won't even bother trying to fix it. Best off buying another phone!
I have the same problem. I dropped it in water about 1 1/2 months ago. But it started working fine. One day i shut it off. and when i turned it back on the screen is white. I looked at the dot and its still white. It started working again but then I accidently dropped it and it messed up again. Anyway to fix it?
