Zenith 60 This Zenith Plasma TV is about 3 years old. Recently, this black void appeared with color spikes in the upper right hand corner. See attached photos. Could it be from a power outage or bad connection? How can I remove this void, if even possible? Please help. Thanks. I have a colorful squarish spot on the tv about a square foot on the upper left side with some 1-2 foot long color spikes on the bottom right corner. I don't think it is from a cracked screen b/c the colors twitch and move periodicaly. I have the TV apart right now with all the circuits exposed, all the fuses are good. Is there anything else I can check for? I'm usually pretty handy with computers and electronics, but I don't know where to start with a plasma TV.

How do you have it hooked up, by coax, or RCA jacks! If coax Put TV on 3 or 4 if RCA Yellow, red, white jacks! ,make sure the yellow is in video in to TV and video out on box! both the box and TV jacks are color coded just match them up! but if You have in and out jacks on the TV, like I said make sure the yellow plug from box goes to to TV video in! One last thing, The TV could have more then one aux plugins, make sure TV is set to right one with your remote! Good Luck! Regards!
I had the same problem. We replaced the Y Sustain board. It was under $200 and not at all hard to do yourself. Remove the back of the tv. Make sure you watch what screw goes where. You will see the board on the left side. The number should be on the bottom right corner of the board. Just watch how you removed the board making small notes as to what goes where. Its really not that hard and you can save 600$ or more
Unplug the tv wait a minute .Plug it in turn it on see if that fix the problem. these tv are computers and can go hay wire.just like a computer ,some times a reboot will fix things for a while.make sure you have a good clean source of power at the receptical and your not having power spikes or drops . Good Luck!
try inspecting all caps to see if anything poped out the top or leaky. if none, try replacing the zsus, ysus and upper and lower driver boards. must do all at the same time.
is this a rear projection tv? a table top one? how old is it because if it's over a few years old, then it sounds as if the bulb may be going out but without having more info, it's hard to give an accurate advice.. please let me know if this helps..
