Question about Onkyo TX-SR604 Receiver
I recently purchased the Onkyo TX-SR605. This is my first experience with home theater. I have a 32" Akai lcd flat-screen. I have an HDMI cable connecting the receiver to TV. This is the only cable I want to run to the TV from the receiver. DVDs work fine. However, I don't know how to connect the coaxial cable to the receiver. There is no input for it on the back of the receiver. Previously, I just screwed the cable into the TV (I don't have digital cable; just regular). Do I need some kind of converter box? If so, can you recommend one? Also, I'd like to install an HD antenna to pick up HD signals over the air. I have the same question on this kind of connection to the receiver. Is there a box that will accept both the regular cable, and the HD antenna cable, and convert it to another type of connector that will fit the receiver? Sorry if this question seems basic; I've never done this!

The fewer hops and inteconnects a given signal experiences between its source and your senses, the better. I always run the BEST video from any source to the TV first; the best Audio to the BEST audio electronics. If that helps.
