Poor pressure karcher g 2500 pressure washer with a 5.5 honda engine. No high pressure, hose pulsates as does water out of the outlet. have removed the unloader valve twice and cleaned it to no avail

A couple of other options spring to mind. It may be an air-lock, try disconnecting the high pressure hose and letting the water flow under its own pressure for 5 mins or so. It may also be a crack in the cyliner head...£16 from Espares..takes about an hour to strip and refit. you will need allen keys (to remove the cylinder head) and torx type screwdrivers for the casing.

Hi Have you checked that your nozzle in the lance end is not blocked. Please try this and then try without the high pressure hose attached.

Have you tried changing the gas, Especially, if it has been in the machine of a while. Also some Honda engines will not start if the oil is low. Also try removing the high pressure hose before you start it? Do not run it very long without water flowing through the pump, though.

This may not be a motor problem. It sounds like your pump is not working properly and the motor is just following the pump. First thing to do is check for leaks in the pump, wand hose, gun etc. It may also be a blown water seal inside the pump.

replacing the wand wont solve the pressure problems, its going to be the pump problems, pump create high pressure to the wand. hope that help

Before you start it up:
1. Disconnect the high pressure hose 2. Connect the water supply and turn on 3. Make sure water is flowing through the pump
Start the motor, run for about 10 seconds and then turn off.
Turn off the water supply, connect the high pressure hose, turn water back on, start the motor and away you go.

It can be one of three conditions,

1. The water supply in is not sufficient
2. The pump oil is low
3. The seals are bad in the pump.

I would check the first one first as this is the most common problem.
The water supply hose should be a high volume hose of at least 1/2 inch but 5/8 inch or greater is best.

Depends on the model, but it is probably the pump, Most Karchers do not use expensive pumps. Also, if the end of your hose is off, you won't get much pressure either as it takes a restriction in the end of the hose to increase the pressure. I have commercial pressure washing business & occasionally have an hose end come off, pump problem or high pressure switch problem, but all this stuff can be fixed. Hope this helps you, Rick

The oil in the front of the washer turned a cream color...like it has water in it. Any comments?
