Cant find auto convergence in menu

The Auto convergence feature listed under the setup menu will do it automatically. A common problem is the auto convergence feature will disappear from the setup menu. If yours has disappeared there is the convergence option missing repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will solve the issue.

(5) Stretched Image at top and bottom edge very distorted. Reheat all the surface mount solder points on the Small Signal Board. Then realign the set including convergence menu. Use your flash foucus or goto your menu - and choose convergece. Some sets may not have this feature. You can also put the set if service mode and make adjustments but I would not reccomend that unless you know what you are doing. None of the above will work if your convergence chips have failed. If that is the case you can see some example photos and find a solution here on Fixya.

In that case the convergence Ic's are defective or "leaking" they must be replaced. these are the TDA's

Had the same problem with my Zenith TV. Convergence was all out of whack. I purchased a repair Kit from www.TvRepairKits.com. The kit had all the parts and simple step by step photos of the repair. I cant thank them enough for making this possible . At first the repair did not work so I emailed them and within an hour they told me to check two other items. Sure enough they were right! The set is now working perfectly.

Its the HV transformer, But if your symptom is auto convergence feature gone from the menu. Its not your flyback. Please respond to this same post with your model number and let me know if the auto convergence feature is missing, and I will assist you with the problem.

It should be in the options menu. If not often RCA will drop the option when the convergence ICs go out and often the set will shut down. Heres alink that should be able to help you get a manual and parts if needed. If they dont have your manual leave an email and they should be able to get one quckly usually within an hour or two.

Check for poor solder connections on both StK392-570 convergence Ics (Mitsubishi p/n # 267p150010) If there are none you may have to replace the amps - but that should restore normal convergence..
