These are the setup codes for Sylvania Brand TVs with URC-3021 remote control. If you want more details about setup proceedings and others, check this link. It has these details to many brand of remote controls.
You can connect your Sylvania LC320ss8 to a computer. There is a socket at the back of your TV to connect it with a PC via VGA cable. One end of that cable must be connected to TV, and the other end of the VGA cable must be connected to PC's monitor out jack.. You have to purchase on VGA cable for this purpose, and is available at most of the electronic spare part shops. A "mini-plug audio cable" also is needed to connect the audio from PC to TV. Its one end to be connected to PCs Audio Line Out jack and its other end to TVs PC in audio jack. Both Jacks can be located at the back side of the TV. After connecting it select the TV to receive PC signals according to its manual says. OK.
NB: Switch OFF and switch ON your TV with its front panel power control switch each time before trying an other code.
Direct Code Entry
Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand
it is obviously faulty in vertical scanning section.
if you're knowledgeable on that area, look for dried capacitor which caused the problem or else find a qualified technician to fix the problem.
I got hold of an old vga cable (15 pin), cut off the male end. I then cut the existing cable comming out of the monitor. After soldering the wires together and lots of electrical tape wala - it works.
Now the problems I incured - Don't solder wires together based on color, they probably will not match. Peel back the ends of the cut off connectors and find each pin with a Multimeter. Once you find each wires match solder them carefully and tape. When done test and if good place a short splint on the spliced area and tape. This will keep the wires from breaking from movement. Good luck.
loosen solderd part connot be seen.. you have to test and reheat the board.. this will take time but this is the best solution...after reheating the board then find no result i suspected to check the H.out somewhere near the flyback.....gud luck!!
Now days the tv's are not expensive as they used to be however the repair charges have not changed much therefore you will be looking at more than half of the price of a new one.It might be better to invest in a new set.
