SOURCE: Is it possible to recover my pictures?

I have had success with this... Download the program

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

How to import photos to Picasa in windows 7 from Nikon Coolpix S50-PTP

First you must get the pictures on your computer. For that you need to install ViewNX2 from Nikon. This will make it possible to connect the camera and transfer the pictures to the computer. Then you can upload the pictures to Picasa ViewNX2 is on the CD that came with your camera.

Import photos to Picasa from Nikon Coolpix S50Pmemory card computer

He I'm running Windows7 Ultimate and ViewNX2 goes fine with me. Did you try running it as admin?
Perhaps your account is limiting something. Windows7 is acting like nobody knows that there could be danger, while connected to the internet. You don't need to have the admin account, you almost need a skill as a system admin, to solve every problem Win introduces.

Download photos from coolpix 885 to computer using windows 7

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa or any other photo cataloging program.

Nikon Coolpix 8800 and VISTA Ultimate 64

in Vista Nikon Picture Perfect is not a requirement   Any photo software will do.   I remove my chip and insert it into my printer to upload photos manually as though it were a hard-drive   i used to use the firewire and leave the chip in my Nikon d70s and let windows or the photo software of your choice offer to upload the photos for me.  Try Picasa or ACDSee Photo Manager and ACDSee Pro    peer to peer sites or torrents share these with cracks/serials for you to explore Picasa is free online

I have a Nikon Coolpix P2 camera that I love. I used to have Picasa 2 software loaded and it automatically detected when I attached the camera to a USB port. I've accidently upgraded to Picasa 3, and that...

It's probably because Picasa 3 is not your default import program for photos. You can fix this by:

In Windows XP, your default import setting must be adjusted on a device by device basis:
* Connect the import device (your camera or card reader) to your computer.
* Double-click My Computer on your computer desktop.
* Right-click the listing of your import device.
* Select Properties.
* Click the Autoplay tab.
* Select 'Pictures' from the content drop-down menu.
* Choose from two possible actions:
* Select an action to perform: Select an application to handle import by default each time photos are detected on the specific piece of hardware.
* Prompt me each time to choose an action: Choose an import application each time you attach your hardware.
* Click Apply.
* Click OK.

Windows Vista

Windows Vista allows you to set a global import preference for all photo or videos files.
* Click Start > Control Panel.
* Select Autoplay.
* Under 'Picture' or 'Video,' select your default import program.
* Click Save.
