be sure you have power ( voltage) from the power supply to inverter boards. If not suspect power PCB part# 8142132110050 available from Encompass for @ $115.00. if that voltage is present suspect invert PCBs which are part of the panel & is No Longer Available part# 8137751900202.

if inverters are bad you might try to research possible availability by researching individual part # from the boards themselves to see if you can find any availability. possibly from partsandproducts.net. They list about 5369 various numbers

You can fix it if you have some repair experience, you will need the power inverter board and/or the backlight lamps of the LCD screen, first try the power inverter board, the function of it is to up the voltage from 12/24/48V to a 800-1500V needed for the LCD back lamps.

The usual problem with this symptom is an CCFL power supply failure. The inverter is the board that powers the backlights so you can see what is on the screen. If you look really close and with a flashlight, you may be able to see the dark shadow of the image on the screen. Without the backlight, the LCD is useless.

You can get parts from places like http://www.lcdalternatives.com/ or eBay. Search for the model number and "repair" (e.g. "Optiquest Q19wb repair") on eBay.

The problem can be caused by bad caps in the power supply, bad inverter circuits, bad lamps. You need to open it up and post back what you see inside so we can guide you further, see example of failde monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Sounds like the LCD panel inverter is going out, if not gone out completely.

That is the inverter, you just need to get the exact numbers off of that, and search on Google to find a new one.

The inverter is yoru problem. It takes a while to build up the voltages that is needed to drive the bulbs.

Unless you are operating the monitor in temps below around 40 degrees F... temp is not a factor.

Your prob getting ready to buy a new one. Your inverter(s) are on thier way out.
