My printer won't work, it just clicks

After switching on my printer, which is attached to my comp. the printer just clicks, and won't print. I notice that when I am copying, the bright light doesn't come on. The wording on the printer just says either "warming up" or "scanner failure- turn power off then on again". Even when I take the plug out, then put it in again - several times-nothing happens, it still doesn't work. Please help. Thankyou.

Hi thanks for using fixya!!

One thing to do, try to uninstall and install again the CD software of your printer then try to set again the correct configurations to your pc, and try to scan and print. If still giving you the same problem, perhaps you need to send it to a service center to further check the hardware part of your printer.

Regards!

Deskjet 930C won't print at all

Hi Mary,

Try the steps below

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

(If you are using Windows Vista/Win 7, You need to click on START button and under search program and files - Enter the Services.msc and click the same program from Program list that appear )

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

Sean

My HP Deskjet F380 all in one printer will copy but won't print

Switch off the printer,un install existing drivers(not to delete), restart the computer, switch on the printer, check whether system is recognized the printer?.. if not,try with another usb cable, no luck? problem with Logic card if available replace it or else go for new printer..
If system is recognized the printer, switch off the printer, run the driver CD.. connect USB cable when dialog box appears, do rest of the installation process. Shoot test page....Best off luck..

We have a new hp lasterjet 4015n. It will print two sided, but it won't flip up the back side. I have my driver set to duplex print and flip up, but it won't flip up. Is there some setting on the...

I assume that you attached the two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) to your product:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01909142&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en#N428

The duplexing has to be set in the printer's
Printing submenu

DUPLEX OFF/ON

This item appears only when an optional duplexer is installed. Set

the value to ON to print on both sides (duplex) or OFF to print on

one side (simplex) of a sheet of paper.
The default setting is OFF.

Print on both sides (Duplex) Click Print on both sides. If you will bind the document along
the top edge, click Flip pages up.

EPSON DX4450

1- Is software loaded? try reloading it.
2-check to make sure it is selected as the printer to print to.
File - print - click on epson then print
3- Try going to My computer - printers and faxes see if it's there then double click on it go to scan picture

sometimes it will not recognize the scan button on the printer, probably because there is a problem with the driver, but it will recognize it through the pc.

good luck

Prints part of the page then restarts the print

One suggestions would be to update the firmware of the Netgear Wireless print server Download the firmware for your print server from Netgear's website http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/d102781.asp Instructions for upgrade are on the site! you can also try changing the spool settings, Set it to Print directly to printer RightClick on the printer click on properties and click the advanced tab. Change the spool setting to print directly to printer!! If this doesn't work kindly let me know! regards, babb
