Hello 1rocknroller,

Press the mode button repeatedly to select BASS, TREBLE, SUBW, BALANCE, FADER, DEFEAT, AND VOLUME. When subwoofer mode is set to off, it's level cannot be adjusted. If DEFEAT is set to ON, the player returns to factory defaults. Turn the volume control to adjust the setting. If no adjustment is made within 5 seconds after selecting, the player returns to normal mode.

Hope this helps.

Behringer djx700 has no bass

Check that all the eqs are set not to cut bass, check there are no effects on and that the XPQ is off. If you still have the problem how sure are you there is no bass coming from the mixer? Have you tried it with another amp? We had one hire customer who had the same problem you describe and his amp had a crossover and it was set to act as a mid/top amp and wasn't giving him any bass, unsurprisingly, switching it back to full range sorted it.

Is it possible to hook up 2-6x9 and 2-12in.subs to the 7540a and still pack a nice punch

yes it is however the hookup for it requires something a bit unorthodox

you have 4 outputs (bridgeable)

channel 1 and 2 must be bridged (to lower the ohms) then connected to the 2 6X9 in Parallel..
this must then be set to the high pass frequency (eliminates bass)
lower all the settings as low as possible then turn them up slightly to increase volume to a level where its the hardest and clean sounding..lower volume after

this eliminates the bass and keeps the 6x9 pushing your mid range and high range frequency

now you have 2 channels remaining,, set 3 and 4 to low pass and connect each 12" to an individual channel. (this keeps the bass and ohms high so you will get a clean bass to match with mids and high's. Dont set or bridge for a low bass as it will jam out the 6x9 and your music will sound terrible.

so there u have a simple hookup that will work and keep you sounding clean. remember not to raise the volume on the 6X9 too much as you will blow them..

Thanks for the answer - If we have 3 controls as Bass, Mid and Treble. If we keep those in 12 O Clock position, will the output level be equal. In using the Bass and Treble control only (if we have...

If all are in 12 o'clock position they are "flat" (nothing has been added or subtracted foam input signal) If you only have bass & treble, yes adjusting will affect "mids" but Mids change can go both ways dependent on increase or decrease of Bass and /or treble. By increasing bass you will pull some mids up also. By increasing treble you'll subtract some mids.

What settings to put on Rockford fosgate Prime 250.1? one P1 12 4 Rockford Fosgate speaker, in atrend LSV 12 vented box. With JVC radio that has the sub woof, MID. What is MID and what setting to put it...

Need to know what JVC deck you are referring to so I can give you optimal settings. Mid is the mid-range of frequencies... ones that are sent to your door speakers' woofers, not the sub-woofer. So set that to whatever you feel sounds best, probably low in my opinion. Subwoofer set it as loud as you want, it depends on what kind of music you listen to. If you want your bass to be "boomy" then set it high. If you want it tight and crisp set it low.

Auto adj is auto adjustment for when you turn the sound louder it increases all settings accordingly. I always recommend putting that on 5 so if you ever want to crank it - the whole system gets cranked.

Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.

Need help on setting custom EQ for my JVC KD R506 in car music system. m not able to find the settings. also any idea how to increase the bass effect from the speakers. can i connect a subwoofer without an...

Set your equalizer to you a V shape or U shape pattern, bass effect can only attain by adding a powered subwoofer, (amplifier and subwoofer). subwoofer without an amplifier doesn't sound good, your system doesn't have enough power to drive your subwoofer.

Sound quality bad i can hear bass but really no treble or mids

Could be that those speaker components (mid-range spkr., tweeter) are blown. Try hooking up a similar type speaker and see what happens.

Powering 4 6x9 speakers, need amp

Hi firstof all your deck isnt really putting out 52 watts x4 more like 17-22w rmsx4 ,companies like to throw out some crazy numbers it seems. If your into Kenwood try out a KAC-8404 4-channel on the mids/highs that will put 50 w x4 rms at 4 ohms or if you wanna go a lil louder try the kenwood x600f that will throw 100w rms on each 6x9 at 4 ohms no problem. My system is very similar to yours but running 4 pioneer 5x7's in all the doors and powering it with the 8404 its loud and clean ,fan cooled and no problems at all. My subs are a pair of 15's soundstream t-4's powered by an Alphasonik pma2500a its throwing 800w rms on each sub running in stereo at 2 ohms.It can drown out the mids if i set it that way but my mids /highs cant take as much power as your kenwoods can or else id step up to the x600f too.

I want to get the metallica sound from my marshall AVT50

Use the high gain channel. Set the bass to 8-10 set set the mids to 6-7 and the treble to taaste to cut through. Also turn the contour all the way up. To gice that scooped mid sound. Or use the celan channel on the amp and run a boss metal zone pedal through it. Set amps clean channel EQ to flat ( at 5) and the metal zones controls. Treble to taste for a good bite, bass up to the point were it wont fart out on your amp, sweep the mids outer knob set about 5-7 and the inner knob to about 4. Set prescence for clearity and the distortion level as high as you can stand it.

Bass amp settings

For rock and slapping you are going to want to set the Bass and Treble controls high and the Mids low. For music such as Jazz you are going to want more mids so that your sound will be fatter. If there is a button marked "Mid-Scoop" you'll want that on when slapping.
