Don't need anything to connect a mouse.
If for any reason you have an expensive mouse that does advanced stuff you should have a CD with it.
Install CD before connecting mouse.
go to sony web page, find support and download...find correct model number and drivers for keyboard, or something like functions for your notebook..... let's hope there will be also driver for 8.1 already
Sony VAIO don't need special drivers. These have special receivers that ONLY work with intended models. The receiver is connected via USB inside the computer and it has a button that says "Connect" you have to press it simultaneously on the computer and the mouse or keyboard in order to pair it.
if you don't have the correct Sony VAIO computer you don't have that hardware that connects to the mouse and keyboard.
go into your sound driver options and locate the speakers you are trying to use, weather it be external or otherwise. Make sure the volume is up (i know obvious but still)
rate yea?
I would suggest investing in a USB mouse. They never have this problem and are very cheap to buy. I have found that wireless mice are prone to problems. I would say there is a problem in the connection between your mouse and the laptop but this sort of problem is quite hard to find. As I said, you are better off with USB mouse.
